Bariatric Transport - Equipped with a specialized,  wider and more comfortable stretcher, our bariatric services are for patients weighing over 400lbs and up to 1500lbs.  With safety in mind, our crews are specially trained in lifting and the special handling that bariatric patients require for safe transport.  Our bariatric service is available at the ALS or BLS level.  Multiple crews are typically dispatched on bariatric calls, and because of the required extra staffing, advanced notice of transport need is highly recommended when possible.

Paramedic Transport - EAST believes that all patients should receive the highest level of care.  Paramedic supervisors staff ALS response vehicles for rapid response in a time of need.  This service supplements our BLS and ILS crews as well as offers additional assistance to ALS crews during critical care transports or when extra lifting assistance is required.  These Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) are equipped with a cardiac monitor, drug bag, IV supplies, and standard first response gear.  This service is also made available to local life squads and fire departments.

Continuing Education - EAST is a State of Ohio EMS Board Approved Training Center.  EAST is also a training center for the American Safety & Health Institute and offers classes in First Aid, CPR (layperson and Healthcare Provider), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).  These classes are offered to employees for free.  For more information regarding these classes available to the public, contact Sheri Clendenen @ This email address is being protected from spambots. Safety Assessments - Do you have a family member returning home after a hospital or nursing home stay and you''re unsure if the home is safe for them to stay in?  Do you want the piece of mind knowing that those responding to emergencies at your home already know the necessary information about your home like pets being present, access to the home, specific directions to the home, or what your medical history and medications are?  EAST offers in-home safety assessments for your piece of mind.  These assessments identify risks and hazards, help solve any unnecessary risks, and gather information about the patient(s).  This information is then entered and stored in our secure dispatch system.  If the day ever comes where EAST is called on for transportation services, emergency or non-emergency, the ambulance or drivers coming to your home will have this information at hand which could save precious time in an emergency.  For a free safety assessment, contact Shaun Boggs by clicking "Contact Us" at the top of this page.
